In dry weather, wooden floors are prone to warping and other undesirable phenomena. In winter, there are more indoor heating equipment, and excessive temperature will also affect wooden floors. Therefore, in dry weather, wooden floors must pay attention to their maintenance.

Essential oils

In order to maintain the beauty of solid wood flooring or solid wood composite flooring and prolong the service life of the paint surface, it is best to use less wood essential oils and solid waxes for new floors. After some inferior essential oils are sprayed on the floor surface, they will seep into the gaps in the floor. Although it increases the brightness, it will creak when walking, which will affect the effect instead. Moreover, once the floor sprayed with essential oils is stained with dust, it is difficult to deal with. The function of wood essential oil is to make the floor bright.

waxing

Solid wood flooring has won the favor of many consumers with its natural texture and high durability. However, geothermal heating users who have used solid wood floors may find that after a winter and summer, the floor has cracks. To solve this problem, consumers should apply solid wax to the floor. There is often a certain amount of moisture inside the solid wood floor. When the geothermal heat rises in winter, the floor will lose water and shrink, and the gap between the floors will increase. At this time, applying solid wax to the floor will reduce the expansion of the gap.

Watch the humidity frequently. In winter, the temperature in the heating room is high and the air is relatively dry, so the humidity should be increased. If you put a basin of water in the room, you can also use a humidifier; when there is a lot of rain, the air humidity is high, and you should open the window for ventilation. Solid wood flooring likes the temperature below 28°C and the humidity at 50%-60%. If the natural humidity cannot be reached, it is recommended to use a humidifier to humidify.

In addition to these, solid wood floors should also be maintained at ordinary times to avoid some man-made damage. Once individual floors are found to be deformed, they should be repaired or replaced in time depending on the cause of the deformation and the laying method (nailing or gluing). Be careful not to place cigarette butts, stoves and heaters directly on the wooden floor to prevent burn marks and burns. Do not spill acidic and alkaline solvents or chemicals such as soy sauce, wine and beverages on the wooden floor.
