There are two ways to lay tile in the bathroom: wall pressure and ground pressure wall, so what are the differences between wall pressure and ground pressure wall? Many small partners said it is not very clear, it doesn’t matter, we will take a look at the relevant knowledge.
First, the difference between wall pressure and ground pressure wall
1. Different installation methods
The wall pressure is to paste the wall tiles first, and the local ground is empty first, and then paste the floor tiles after pasting. The ground pressure wall is to paste all the wall bricks directly onto the floor tiles, and one end of the floor tiles can cover the wall bricks. From the perspective of construction difficulty, wall pressure is more complicated than ground pressure wall.
2. Water seepage problems are different
Because the bathroom water is more frequent, and the water on the wall will flow along the wall to the floor tile. Because the wall and floor tiles belong to the vertical state, the ground is not easy to seep water. In the ground pressure wall, there will be gaps in the ground junction area of the wall, and the water beads on the wall will slide down, which will easily penetrate into the gaps, resulting in water accumulation on the ground. However, nowadays, caulking agents are used in wall joints, so water seepage problems are rare.
Second, the bathroom is better to press the wall or the wall to press the ground
Wall compaction has obvious advantages over ground compaction, but the construction difficulty and cost are higher for the first time. Because of the ground pressure wall, only after laying the wall tiles and then laying the floor tiles, this paving method is more convenient for the bricklayer master, there is no need to complete so many processes, and the wall tiles and floor tiles are paved all the way down, which can save the master’s time. However, if you do this, the waterproof performance will be worse, because the tile master paved the whole wall of the bathroom after the tile, and then the floor tile can not be plugged into the gap of the wall tile, and can only stick to the wall tile to expose the floor tile.
And the wall of the bathroom is relatively easy to have water, choose the wall to press the ground, the water will naturally flow to the floor tile, and finally discharged into the floor drain. Comprehensive analysis shows that the wall pressing the ground can effectively reduce the water entering the dry ash layer inside the tile than the ground pressing wall, and the effect is more prominent. However, before laying, we must communicate with the decoration workers, otherwise the basic way of laying will be used.
