What to do if the faucet leaks? First of all, there is no doubt that the water gate in the home is closed, and then we will look at the repair methods for water leakage caused by various reasons.
The first type: shaft damage
If the faucet leaks, you must first find out what is the reason for the problem. If you want to repair the faucet, you must understand the real reason.
If the shaft pad of the faucet is worn out for a long time, you can directly use a pair of pliers to clamp the gland bolt of the faucet tightly, and turn it counterclockwise until it is loosened and removed.
You can directly take out the worn shaft washer, replace it with a prepared new shaft washer, clamp it tightly with pliers, and tighten the gland bolt in a clockwise direction to restore the leaking faucet to normal used it!
The second type: the waterproof tape is damaged
Use a wrench to turn the faucet counterclockwise until it becomes loose and take it off, then use the threaded hole to wrap the tape around clockwise for about five or six times, pay attention to the force when winding, so that it fits the faucet tightly threaded holes.
After completing this step, continue to re-tighten the faucet with a wrench in a clockwise direction, and then turn on the switch to see if there is still a problem with the faucet leaking, if not! Congratulations, you have successfully fixed your leaky faucet~
The third type: the joint of the faucet is worn
Use pliers to loosen the cap nut of the faucet counterclockwise, and then tighten it clockwise to see if there is still water leakage from the faucet. If not, it proves that the water leak is only caused by the loose cap nut of the faucet.
If there is still water leakage, it is recommended to replace it with a new U-shaped sealing gasket, and then tighten the faucet clockwise. Generally, there will be no more water leakage.
